(2 products)

Our outdoor planter boxes are an excellent addition to any garden or patio area. Like all our outdoor furniture, they are 100% premium poly wood. Using planters to add flowers and greenery to an outdoor space is a great idea.

Whether planter boxes or dining sets, we value delivering high quality products to our customers. Our five star Google rating confirms this with many satisfied reviewers. Our level of customer service and satisfaction is certainly competitive.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns about our composite planter boxes. Contact us via our website, call, or visit us in person at our store in Seneca, SC.

Many of our outdoor furniture styles are on display outside the store. Even if there aren't plant pots at the time you visit, seeing our color options in person is helpful.

Our Outdoor Planter Boxes

We offer two styles of composite flower pots: standard and modern. These are complete with drainage holes, so we don't recommend using them as indoor planters.

Our standard style features a blockier base with accent framing along each side of the planter box. The boards are vertical and defined. The modern style is more simple with horizontal, smooth boards and framing only along the sides and top of the planter.

Our standard outdoor planter is available in just one size. The dimensions are: 17.5"W x 18.5"L x 16.5"H. This size is perfect for a small flower bed to brighten up your outdoor space.

The modern options is available in small, medium, large, and extra large. The larger the planter size, the taller it stacks. For our Modern Planter dimensions, see the details below.

Small: 18.5"W x 20"L x 17.75"H

Medium: 18.5"W x 20"L x 22.75"H

Large: 18.5"W x 20"L x 28.75"H

Extra Large: 18.5"W x 20"L x 33.75"H

Or, match our bright red poly color with some roses. Options are endless with our selection of vibrant poly lumber stains.

Although we don't currently offer hanging planters or window boxes, our tall planter boxes are certainly versatile. You can place these outside a kitchen window for a great view while doing dishes. Or, create miniature raised garden beds to place among our balcony height outdoor furniture.

Miniature Vegetable Garden

From jalapeños to lima beans, plant whatever you desire in our large pots for plants outdoors. These are the perfect size to support a variety of outdoor plants including tomatoes, mint, basil, and more.

Why Poly Planters are Best

Our poly wood planters are superior to wooden alternatives for a number of reasons. They are eco friendly, more durable, and resistant to climate issues.

Durable and Resistant to the Elements

The main disadvantage of choosing traditional ceramic or terra cotta outdoor pots for plants is durability. Either of these materials will break easily simply from dropping or knocking them over. Poly planters, on the other hand, will take no damage besides a small scuff from falls.

Wooden planters also don't break as easily as other popular options. However, these do not maintain function or appearance over time nearly as well as poly lumber planters. This is because wood planters are susceptible to rot, decay, and warping. Constant moisture from watering plants causes this.

Poly wood is entirely water proof, so moisture doesn't have any effect on it. This enables poly planters to stay in the same spot for years with little need for maintenance. Poly wood is also highly resistant to pests and insects, which is perfect for gardening.

Our composite planter boxes are certainly more convenient than wood planters. Avoid having to repot all your garden planters every few years by choosing poly lumber.

Sustainable

We source our commercial grade poly lumber from Tangent Sustainable Lumber. Then, Amish woodworkers handcraft each outdoor piece with this highly dense wood substitute. Tangent creates this material by repurposing plastic waste like milk jugs and detergent bottles.

This reduces the amount of plastic heading to landfills in our country. Tangent also uses sustainable practices during manufacturing. This granted them a Closed Loop Product Certification. They are also Green Circle Certified because of the millions of pounds of plastic they divert from the waste stream each year.

Production aside, poly wood is eco friendly throughout its whole product lifetime. Poly outdoor planters and other pieces typically last for decades because of their incredible durability. This means consumers buy and throw away less outdoor furniture over time, which reduces waste.

At the end of its life, poly wood furniture is 100% recyclable. Simply find a nearby recycling center that accepts HDPE. Or, return the poly to a manufacturer so they can use it to create new furniture.

Wooden and metal options use natural resources in production. Avoid contributing to deforestation by choosing poly lumber with Upstate Amish.

Color Options

Unlike wood planters, poly lumber color is a stain rather than a paint. Repainting will never be necessary, as poly maintains its color and function for decades.

We offer a wide variety of color options ranging from bright accent colors to more neutral tones. You can even choose one of our premium wood grain colors for a more natural look. Each planter can be all one color or have a base and accent color.

Our standard color options are slightly less expensive than our premium options. Standard colors range between natural or neutral tones to a few accent colors. The former are: White, Weatherwood, Light Gray, Cedar, Cherrywood, Tudor Brown, Dark Gray, and Black. The standard accents include: Mint Green, Patriot Blue, and Turf Green.

The premium color options tend to be brighter and more vibrant than the standard. These include: Pink, Bright Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Aruba Blue, and Purple. Our wood grain colors are: Seashell, Birchwood, Driftwood Gray, Coastal Gray, Antique Mahogany, and Brazilian Walnut. These are exclusive to Tangent Sustainable Solutions and appear as real wood.

Customize your ideal plant stands with our two toned color options at Upstate Amish.
