Height Adjustable Desk Chair Styles

We offer two main categories of adjustable chairs: executive high back styles and more casual wooden styles.

Executive chair styles include the CET59, DC55, and CE58 chairs. These options all feature leather or faux leather with solid wood accents. High quality upholstery encases the seat, chair back, and armrests for a comfortable, luxurious office chair.

Wooden styles are more casual, but offer more character with varied grain patterns. Popular styles include the Kinglet and Fostoria office chairs.

The Kinglet style is perfect for a modern workplace with simple, graceful design. The chair back curves gently and features a straight top with pointed ends for subtle detail. This style looks excellent in natural walnut wood with an off white fabric seat. Another attractive option is maple wood in our Dark Knight stain with a Paloma faux leather seat.

The Fostoria style offers a softer look perfect for a more casual, relaxed work space. The design features an arched and rounded top with three curved panels along the chair back. A great option for this style is rustic white oak wood with a Willowbend or Blissful Sand stain and a dark fabric seat.

Another attractive, comfortable option is our MD51 desk chair. Like the executive styles, this option features an upholstered seat and back. However, the back is lower for a more casual feel perfect for open, airy spaces.

Customize Your American Made Office Chair

Do not settle for less than perfect concerning your office furniture. Furniture is an important factor in establishing the atmosphere of a workplace. It contributes to the first impressions of business partners and clients alike.

Invest in our high quality office chairs for durability and style that last. Create the atmosphere you envision for your office by choosing every detail.

Choose Wood Species and Stain

First, select a style from our variety of office chairs. Next, decide what wood species and stain would look best in your workplace. We offer a quality selection of solid domestic hardwoods. This includes: cherry, maple, hickory, oak, birch, elm, and walnut.

Three variations of oak are available: red oak, rustic white oak, and quarter sawn white oak. Each species has multiple stain color options to choose from. Maple wood alone has fourteen different stains that range from light Blissful Sand to deep Brown Velvet.

Decide on the ideal species and stain for your office by evaluating the general atmosphere. For a casual workplace, we recommend lighter stain colors and distinct grain patterns. Some excellent combinations for this are: maple wood in our Willowbend stain and white oak in the Blissful Sand stain.

For a more formal, professional look, we recommend darker stains with more subtle, uniform grain patterns. Walnut wood in our deep Cocoa Light stain is a popular choice for its gentle, luxurious appearance.

Another interesting choice for a darker, formal look is quarter sawn white oak with a Brown Velvet stain. While the grain is highly figured, it is generally consistent with little variation in its complex patterns. Other species, like maple, are straight in some areas and wavy or even curly in others.

Please note that two toned wood stain options are available as well as painted maple or red oak wood.

Select an Upholstery Option

Next, decide whether you prefer a solid wood or an upholstered seat. Either option is comfortable, with molded scoop details for wooden seats and cushiony fabric and leather for upholstered options.

We offer a wide variety of high quality upholstery to choose from through our supplier, Heartland Fabrics. Navigate to their website to browse options for upholstered office chairs.

Like with the stain and species, decide which is best for your office space by choosing between a casual and formal atmosphere.

For more casual workplaces, we recommend textured or patterned fabrics to add warmth and character. Some excellent light neutral fabric options are Melody, Birch, Pearl, and Goldilocks. Attractive patterned fabrics are Grove, Dorothy, and Peanut.

For a more professional look, we recommend darker leather colors to compliment a deep stain color. Specifically, these look excellent on our executive office chairs. Regular black and gray are both great options, as are Cigar and Fossil for more color variation.

Heartland Fabrics also offers faux leather, for a more environmentally conscious upholstery option. Some of our favorites are Paloma, Snow Fox, and Sagebrush.
