Solid Maple Wood Dining Tables

(90 products)

At Upstate Amish, we offer a high quality selection of maple dining room tables. Each is handmade by Amish expert woodworkers in Ohio with skill and dedication. Their furniture boasts superior craftsmanship and is always heirloom quality.

Each table is 100% domestic solid wood with no veneers or laminates. Because our partners craft each item after order placement, every piece is fully customizable. You decide the wood species and stain as well as style and size. In addition to this high level of customization, we offer custom orders as well for built in or live edge pieces.

Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns about our maple tables or custom orders. Contact us via our website, call, or visit us at our store in Seneca, SC. Comparing different species and stains in person can be helpful in purchasing new furniture.

About Solid Maple Dining Tables

Maple furniture is popular for its durability, fine grain, and light color. This wood species has a Janka hardness rating of 1450. This means it takes 1450 pounds of force to embed a steel ball halfway through the wood. Because of this, maple wood makes a highly durable, stable table.

As for its appearance, maple is popular for its smooth, fine grain that is typically consistent throughout a piece. However, maple can also display patterns like burls, birdseyes, and curls.

Maple is also in demand for the natural beauty of its creamy blonde color. Like cherry wood, maple's color changes over time as it develops a patina. It starts as an off-white or ivory shade and ages to a warmer, amber brown color.

We also offer a variety of unique stain colors for maple wood. This ranges from lighter shades like our Blissful Sand and Willowbend to darker hues like Brown Velvet and even Ebony. Or, our Honey Cider, Boston, and Rich Cherry stains give maple wood a reddish tone.

Our Favorite Rectangular Maple Dining Room Tables

We offer a wide selection of dining table styles at Upstate Amish. Even if our website doesn't show a maple option for a certain table, that doesn't mean it isn't available. For every table style, you can choose any wood that we offer including maple and its many stain color options.

Almost all our tables are extendable to accommodate seating needs in your dining room perfectly. They come with self storing leaves that fit in the center of the table. Then, gears help smoothly extend the table. The leaves fit perfectly into place for a seamless transition.

For solid top tables without extension leaves, the wood grain runs lengthwise down the table. For extendable tables, the grain runs widthwise so it blends well with the added leaves. Choosing a solid top instead of an extendable top is always an option.

Elegant, formal styles like the Biltmore, Carlisle, and Parson look especially nice in Rich Tobacco stain on maple wood. This dark stain makes the color of the wood more consistent and uniform. However, it doesn't overshadow the unique patterns in the wood grain.

The Biltmore style is especially unique because of its curved boat shape tabletop with a beveled edge. Then, the table legs curve to meet at two pedestal bases on either side of the table. A large, dramatic arch then connects the lower halves of the two bases together. This style can extend up to four feet to seat six to twelve people.

Chairs that pair well with our more elegant tables include the Curlew, Belmont, and Hudson. These each feature soft, graceful curves in the chair back that specifically compliment the Carlisle and Biltmore tables. Our upholstered chairs are also an excellent choice for a formal dining room.

For more of a rustic farmhouse look, see our Wooden X Trestle and Hillside Maple Dining Tables. These look best in our softer stains like Willowbend and Blissful Sand. Both these styles feature an extra sturdy double pedestal base and sanded edges for a country feel.

The legs of the Wooden X Trestle style literally cross each other in an X shape. Then a thick wooden beam connects the bases for added support. The Hillside bases feature high geometric contrast of elaborate, dramatic curves and straight, clean squares.

For a more modern feel, see our Monroe Mid Century Modern and Lakeland Shaker Maple Dining Tables. The Monroe style features hard, clean lines and the table legs stand at a perfect right angle to the tabletop. Then, they taper slightly from the inward facing sides only for a geometric, neat look.

The Lakeland Shaker style has a simple, minimalist design for a modern take on the classic Amish Shaker style. The Shaker style legs taper from all sides for a basic but elegant look and the tabletop has clean, straight edges.

Round Maple Tables for Your Dining Space

Round dining tables are a great option for a less formal dining room. They bring a more comfortable, collaborative feel to the environment. Each guest is able to see and hear one another equally, which eases communication, especially in large groups.

Some more traditional round maple wood tables are our Alberta and Ellington styles. The Alberta is our only round table available at 72 inches because of its strong, sturdy pedestal base. With a 12" leaf at 72 inches, this table can seat up to 12 guests.

The pedestal base features four thick wooden table legs that connect at the floor and halfway up the table in a cross design. The Ellington also has a pedestal base that conversely splits into four legs about one foot off the floor. Its rounded edges, ringed base, and curved legs give this style a more traditional feel.

Chairs that pair well with these traditional styles include the Arlington, Austin, and High Bent Paddle chairs. The latter style is a unique Amish design that features six bent, wooden slats in the chair back for added comfort.

Our Round Mid Century Modern Maple Dining Table is another excellent choice. The tabletop edge is clean without any sanding, bevel, or rounding for a simple look. The pedestal base is rather unusual, however. Four legs branch out from the center at soft, obtuse angles.

The geometric contrast of a round top and straight legs is classic Mid Century style. This table and our other Mid Century Modern styles pair well with our Laker, Windsor, and Cordell chairs. Organic, geometric shapes and simple, functional design define this furniture movement.
