Shaker Bed Frame Options
A Shaker bed frame is available in full, queen, king, and California king size. Our Amish craftsmen build each bed frame one at a time, allowing for customizations. Choose a standard height footboard that reflects the headboard or a low-profile footboard, especially great for small bedrooms.
All beds are available with an optional storage platform base. Beds without drawers in the base include wooden slats meant to support a mattress and box spring combination. Adding a drawer platform base to your bed creates a solid base on top of the drawers eliminating the need for a box spring.
Our storage platforms offer three different drawer layouts. First, we offer a siderail drawer unit, with two drawers on each side of the bed. This unit combines with any headboard and footboard and features approximately 6" clearance from the floor.
Next, we display a siderail and footboard drawer unit combo. This unit is ideally suited for any headboard with a low-profile footboard. We display the siderail and footboard drawer unit on the Denali sleigh bed. This platform base includes the two drawers in the footboard and an additional drawer on each side of the bed.
Finally, we offer a deep to floor siderail drawer unit combo. This platform base includes two extra deep drawers on each side of the bed that extend all the way to the floor. Our deep to floor drawer units maximize the storage available underneath the bed. We display this option on the Craftsman Mission Bed.
Shaker Dressers and Bedside Tables
Standard Shaker dressers have a landscape drawer layout and include an optional matching mirror. Dressers are typically available in two different standard heights, as a low dresser or a tall dresser. The low dressers often have a 7-drawer layout, with an average height of 36 inches. Tall dressers range from 42-46" high with 9 drawers.
The width of Shaker style dressers may range from 56-72 inches in most styles. Request a custom size and make the most of your bedroom space. Our talented craftsmen encourage requests for custom size dressers and chests.
Choosing a Shaker chest of drawers maximizes vertical space in your bedroom. The 6-drawer chest usually requires only 36-42 inches of floor space. Other storage items like the chiffonier or armoire have a vertical orientation as well, with varying sizes and layouts.
We offer matching nightstands and bedside tables for all Shaker style bedroom sets. Most collections display a 3-drawer nightstand and an open nightstand with a single small drawer. Add hidden storage for a pistol or other small valuables with the addition of a sliding top on your nightstand.
