At Upstate Amish, we sell a variety of solid wood bedroom sets. These are complete with a bed frame, nightstands, chest of drawers, dresser, and mirror. Of course, our luxury nightstands are also available for individual purchase.
Each piece of furniture at Upstate Amish is handmade by expert Amish woodworkers. They combine high quality materials with skill. This results in heirloom quality solid wood furniture.
In addition to quality and detailed craftsmanship, we also offer a high level of customization. For every nightstand and other piece of furniture, customers choose the wood species, stain, size, and style. We can also adjust details like hardware and dimensions.
Aside from customizing each piece, we also offer entirely custom orders. For example, we don't sell floating nightstands, but could work with a customer to create a unique one. Large wall unit beds that remove the need for a side table are another good example of a custom order.
Wood Nightstand with Charging Station
A nightstand with a built in outlet is a great addition to any bedroom space. This is convenient for those who charge multiple devices overnight and have a lamp plugged in to the nearest power outlet. Or, this is even more convenient for a bed without an outlet nearby.
We offer two traditional nightstands with power outlets: the Washington and Jackson styles. For both options, the charging station is optional and hidden at the back of the nightstand.
The Washington nightstand is available with one or three drawers. The design features smooth, rounded edges with paneled drawers and Shaker style tapered legs. This style matches the Washington chest of drawers, dresser, and mirror and pairs well with the Augustine bed.
The Jackson style is also available with one or three drawers. It features a rustic look with sturdy square legs and looks great in natural hickory wood. The surface displays a slight beveled edge and the paneled drawers add detail.
Another option that combines bed and nightstand in one piece is our Bookcase Unit Bed. This large bed features ultimate storage space with three drawers along each bed side and two storage towers. The bridge connecting the towers features lights, mirrors, and a charging station.
Each tower base also features a hidden pistol compartment. Intricate paneling and black rope trim add detail to this sizable bed frame.
Narrow Bedside Table for a Kids Nightstand
Most nightstands range in width from about 20 to 28 inches. Much of our selection of bedside tables measure 24 inches wide with a couple exceptions. This size makes for an ideal nightstand with surface area for books and bedside lamps.
Our Lakeport style is only 20 inches wide, making it our smallest nightstand. This makes it perfect for a kids bedroom or any room with a narrow space between the bed and wall. The Lakeport Amish Bedside Table features three drawers, straight square edges, and an arched cutout base.
The Savannah is slightly wider at 22 inches and also features three drawers. The paneled drawers and sides of the nightstand add detail along with the sanded edges and square legs. This style has a more rustic feel to it and perfectly matches the rest of our Savannah bedroom furniture set.
How tall should a nightstand be? Standard nightstand height is about 30 inches from the floor. This usually measures at about the top of your mattress and allows for easy access to reach items. The mattress may be above the nightstand if using a box spring as well.
Most of our nightstands and bedside tables have average depth and width. However, the Lakeport and Savannah are our most narrow options, perfect for kids rooms and small bedroom spaces.

Our Hudson Mid Century Modern black nightstand and dresser are a popular choice for their simple yet contemporary look. Overlay drawers and straight, square edges and legs give a modern feel to this set. The nightstand is available with a sliding top for discreet storage space. The Hilton set looks similar but adds Shaker style legs for a classic MCM nightstand pair.
Another excellent option with a more traditional look is the Belmont white nightstand. It features an optional hidden jewelry compartment that seamlessly pulls out as part of the molding. The dresser has two larger, similar compartments and looks excellent paired with the Belmont dresser mirror.
Our Silverton 3 drawer nightstand is a great choice for a rustic bedroom set. This Silverton set features reclaimed barn wood for a farmhouse feel. The design is similar to classic Amish Mission style with sturdy square legs and straight edges.
