We ship all across the continental USA for a flat rate of $199. Because pieces are handmade by Amish experts, it takes longer to make and deliver furniture. Our range of delivery is 8-12 weeks for customized pieces. For in stock orders, the wait is only 2-4 weeks.
Our Amish Made Wooden Sleigh Beds
For all three styles, the bed is available in full or as the headboard only. The price differs drastically between these options. For example, the Heritage style in oak wood and full size is $1,494. For the sleigh headboard only, the price is $731.
Heritage
The sleigh bed style became popular in France in the early 1800s. A classic example of Napoleon Bonaparte's Empire style, it features luxurious details and curves. Our Heritage style is the most in line with the traditional design of the sleigh bed.
The scrolled, curved headboard and footboard mimic the shape of an actual horse drawn sleigh. Depending on the size, there are one to three raised panels with beveled edges. The twin sleigh bed has one wide panel across both the headboard and the footboard.
The full and queen sizes have two panels and the king sleigh bed has three panels. Above these panels is an intricate black rope trim for added detail.
The original goal of this style was to symbolize luxury and wealth. For this reason, we recommend highly figured wood species with a detailed grain pattern. This includes elm, quarter sawn white oak, or our rare flamed birch option. These cuts of wood are more expensive, and match the design of the Heritage bed well.
Denali Avondale
Our Denali solid wood sleigh bed is a modern take on this classic style. This option is sleeker and smoother with less ornate detail. It features a curved headboard with a storage platform footboard. Ask about a matching curved footboard if interested.
The headboard has subtle paneling and the front legs taper for delicate detail. This style looks excellent in maple wood with our Brown Velvet stain color. The uniformity of the dark, even stain blends well with the modern design of the sleigh frame bed.
Another excellent choice is walnut wood in our Cocoa Light stain. Walnut naturally has a luxurious look because of its fine, smooth grain.
Miranda
Our final option is the Miranda sleigh bed frame. This style features an arched, slightly curved headboard with scroll details. Two raised and beveled panels match the arch of the headboard for a timeless, sophisticated look. The footboard will include matching details unless it has a platform storage base.
This luxury sleigh bed certainly has an element of formality and elegance. It looks best in maple wood with our Asbury Brown stain and burnished edges. This detail adds color contrast along the lines of the design. It ranges from warm, honey colored centers to deep chocolatey edges.
For a more traditional and cozy look, consider elm or quarter sawn oak wood with the Michael's Cherry stain.
Customize Your Full, King, or Queen Sleigh Bed
One major benefit of choosing Amish made furniture is the ability to customize. Our partners in Ohio make each order after it comes in. This ensures each piece of furniture fits customer specifications exactly.

Size and Frame Options
First, choose your preferred size bed frame. With Upstate Amish, full, queen, king, or California king size sleigh beds are available. For the Heritage style, twin size is an option as well. Ask us about custom sizing for any style.
We have various frame options to choose from for each style bed. Typically, Amish frames include wooden slats with center posts. This combo requires a box spring in addition to a mattress. However, every bed style is available with a platform base instead, which does not need a box spring.
Four different options are available for a platform bed frame. The first is a platform only with no storage and at whatever height you request. The second option is a siderail drawer unit with two drawers on each side of the bed.
Third is a siderail and footboard unit with two drawers at the footboard and one on each side of the bed. The second and third options are both several inches from the floor and allow space for nightstands.
The final option is a deep siderail unit with two drawers on either side. These drawers extend to the floor for maximum storage space.

Choose Wood Species
We offer a wide variety of domestic hardwoods to choose from. Each option is solid wood with no veneers or laminates.
Our selection includes: cherry, maple, hickory, oak, birch, elm, and walnut. We offer three types of oak wood: red oak, rustic white oak, and quarter sawn white oak.
Select Stain Color
For each wood species, we offer multiple stain colors to choose from. The original color of the wood affects how each stain looks on different species. To see all options, click Indoor Wood and Color Options under the Information tab on our website.
Hardware Options
Storage platform beds and bedroom storage furniture need hardware mechanisms. We offer a variety of knobs and handles in gold, silver, bronze, and black finishes. Browse our selection to choose the perfect match for your interior design vision.
Bedroom Furniture to Match Your Luxury Sleigh Bed
A cohesive feel is important in any bedroom setting. Each sleigh bed style detailed above has a matching set of bedroom furniture. Items in the set feature the same design elements as the sleigh bed frames.
Each sleigh bed furniture set includes: a bed frame, nightstands, a dresser and dresser mirror, a chest of drawers, and more. Items included in some sets are: lingerie dressers, armoires, chiffoniers, and jewelry storage mirrors, among others.
Heritage
To complete your Heritage set, navigate to the Bedroom tab online and select Bedroom Sets and scroll until you find it. Repeat this for our other sleigh bed sets and browse alternate styles as well.
Pieces in this set include a black rope trim to match the same detail along the headboard and footboard of the sleigh bed frame. Surfaces feature crown molding and bottoms have curved cutout bases for a classic yet ornate look.
Unique pieces in this set are the Heritage chest on chest and mule chest armoire. The first literally looks like a chest attached to a larger chest for a traditional look. The armoire offers maximum storage space with six large drawers, three small drawers, and four large doors.
Our Louis Phillippe jewelry armoire and Shaker sliding jewelry cheval mirror in elm wood also match well. They both feature traditional, timeless design, although the former is more decorative than the latter.
Denali
Like the Denali Avondale sleigh bed frame, pieces in this set include tapered legs. Surfaces feature clean, straight edges to match the contemporary look of the frame.
Unique items in the Denali set are: a mule chest armoire, six drawer lingerie dresser, and chiffonier. The first is similar in storage capacity to the Heritage mule chest armoire. The lingerie dresser is simple in design and displays drawers of varying sizes.
The chiffonier features a large mirror door and a smaller wood door that open to shelving. The design also includes three small drawers and one large drawer.
Another piece that pairs well with this set is the Shaker split jewelry armoire. This is a highly unique piece with optimal jewelry storage. It features six small drawers lined with velvet to store precious metals. The top opens to reveal a hidden compartment and mirror.
The sides also open with necklace hooks on either side. Below all this are two larger drawers for storing other accessories.
Miranda
Storage pieces in the Miranda sleigh bed set feature elevated panel drawers to match the raised panels in the bed frame. Decorative molding and a distinctive cutout base add sophistication to each piece.
Items unique to this set include the Miranda armoire and six drawer lingerie dresser. The upper half of the armoire displays two large doors that open to ample shelving space. The lower half features two large and two medium sized drawers.
The lingerie dresser features two small drawers at the top, two medium in the middle, and two large at the base. Ask about including a hidden compartment at the top of the dresser for jewelry storage.
