Design a custom sectional sofa with Upstate Amish in store or online. Our team will work with you to create the perfect piece for your living space.
Our sofas are high quality and handmade by expert Amish crafters. Each one features a solid maple wood frame for durability and longevity. Doweled and glued pieces ensure a solid, sturdy structure.
Cushions rest on eight way hand-tied springs to maintain appearance and firmness. Hand sewn upholstery encases solid sheets of foam for a comfortable seat with a luxurious look.
Please note that each sectional style has matching living room furniture to create a cohesive set. This includes smaller sofas and loveseats, ottomans, armchairs, and solid wood occasional tables.

Customize a Modular Sectional Sofa for Your Living Room
Amish made furniture has a major advantage over competitors regarding customization. Our partners craft each order by hand after placement. This ensures that customers can tailor each detail to suit their preferences.
Larger retailers typically utilize mass production. This means only the most popular styles and colors are widely available. Our handcrafted sofas are perfect for those who crave unique colors or have a highly specific vision in mind.
Choose the Size and Shape of the Sectional
With Upstate Amish, create the best sectional sofa for your specific living room. Module options include a sofa, corner, loveseat, and chaise. Configure some or all these parts however you prefer. Of course, armrests are only at the ends of the sectional for a cohesive piece.
For example, see the Manhattan style above in our Iceland fabric. This specific sectional features two sofa modules connected by a corner unit with a chaise at one end.
Similarly, the Westbrook L sectional sofa features two sofas and one corner piece. If needed, customers can remove the corner piece so that the two sofas fit together for one extra long couch.
Build the perfect sectional sofa for your space with Upstate Amish. We ensure excellent customer service, high quality, and style.
Choose Between Top Grain Leather and Performance Fabric
We offer hundreds of unique upholstery options to choose from to create the perfect look. Each fabric and leather option is high quality from our wholesale distributor Heartland Fabrics. Visit their website to view all available upholstery.
We especially recommend the Crypton easy living performance fabric viewable online. These fabrics are not only stylish, soft, and durable, but stain and odor resistant as well. They are easy to clean with most stains simply requiring a dry towel.
This level of customization is simply unmatched among large furniture retailers. Instead of choosing from only a few color options, pick a fabric or leather that speaks to you. Different choices can affect the style and general atmosphere of a room.
For example, choose the Night Sky genuine leather for a black sectional sofa suited for darker, dim lighting. This option works well for a luxury lounge or library area with gold or brass accent decor.
For a mid century modern sectional sofa, consider the Westbrook style in Celery performance fabric. The clean lines and low back in a classic accent color make an excellent retro combo.
The Lone Star performance fabric is another gorgeous option for a unique green sectional sofa. This almost sage shade would go well with a natural walnut coffee and end table set. The natural variation in color and grain pattern compliment a solid fabric choice well.
An excellent choice for a deep blue sectional sofa is the Royal Crypton fabric color. For a lighter, more relaxing shade, consider the Calumet Revolution fabric.
Browse solid and patterned fabrics as well as genuine and faux leather to find the perfect fit for your space. Our team has excellent taste and can offer suggestions for your stylistic goals. Whether you envision a luxury leather sectional or cozy, inviting fabric seats, we can help.
Edit Details Like Seat Depth and Recliner Seats
Further customize your order to create the ideal living room seating for your home. The smallest details are under your control since each part is handmade.
For an additional charge, customers can modify the seat depth, armrest height, and the height of the sofa back. Deep seats are a popular request, as they make any style even more spacious and comfortable. Please note reclining styles are available as stationary seats if preferable.
We offer these adjustments so that our customers feel entirely in control of their custom order. If interested, ask us about any other modifications that come to mind.
For example, ask us about a sectional sleeper sofa. We offer this for the regular Manhattan sofa, and could add this as a module in a sectional.
Or, the Montana loveseat features an optional cupholder armrest console in the center. Ask us about including this detail in a larger sectional.
C and L Shaped Sectional Sofa Styles
Sectional shapes are typically a two sided L or a three sided C arrangement. Any of the below styles are available in both options or a custom shape, as mentioned above. L shapes work well for corner sectionals and C shapes are ideal for larger spaces.
Ask us about editing design details of any style to match your interior design vision. We will work with you to ensure you love your new furniture.

Reclining Sectional Sofas
Our Montana style is an excellent option for a high quality reclining sectional sofa. The design features pillowy, cloud-like seats for maximum comfort. This style certainly has a cozy, relaxed look and is perfect for a home theater.
Both ends of this sectional recline for added relaxation. Both manual and power recline are available for this style. The manual option includes a lever on both ends that the sitter pulls to fully recline the seat.
The power recline is more advanced, and simply features two buttons to move the seat forward and backward. This is ideal for those who prefer a partial recline, which is not possible with the manual lever.
Price differs slightly between the manual and power recline options. For example, we will compare a classic L shaped recliner at 117 x 117 inches in gray fabric. The manual recline option costs $6,202 while the power recline is more expensive at $6,677.
The Montana style is viewable online in white and gray fabric colors as well as our snow fox faux leather. Of course, this style is available in any fabric and leather option we offer.

Modern Sectional Sofa Styles
Aside from the Montana, we offer two more styles of sectional sofas. Each of these has a modern feel to it without compromising charm and quality.
Westbrook
The Westbrook style has a clean look with a low back for an open, airy feel. It pairs well with mid century modern furniture for this reason. All sofa cushions are rather wide for a relaxed, inviting look.
This option is viewable online as a white, beige, or gray sectional sofa. Also see the classic L shape look as well as a C shape with a chaise.
Browse other pieces in the Westbrook collection for a full set of matching living room furniture. This includes other seating options as well as modern coffee, end, and sofa tables. Our unique ottoman with a sliding tray also pairs well with the Westbrook sectional.
Manhattan
Our final option is the Manhattan luxury sectional sofa. This style features tapered feet and slightly curved arms for subtle detail.
View this style online in gorgeous bronze-brown faux leather or simple gray-white fabric. The former gives a more traditional feel to the piece while the latter looks more contemporary.
Customize a living room set with the rest of the Manhattan collection. Note that our Tub swivel armchair pairs excellently with this style. The rounded top contrasts well with the straight, even lines of the Manhattan style.
