About Our Poly Outdoor High Top Table and Chairs

Classic Table with Modura Chairs

Our poly wood outdoor furniture is highly sustainable, weather resistant, and long lasting. We believe these factors make poly the best material for outdoor furniture on the market.

We source poly lumber from Tangent Sustainable Lumber, an eco friendly manufacturer. Then, our skilled Amish partners craft the material into stylish patio pieces.

Quite a few factors make poly lumber incredibly sustainable. Primarily, the material is 100% recycled plastic. This diverts millions of pounds of waste from landfills each year. This also lessens the rate of deforestation by avoiding the use of real lumber.

Poly is also infinitely recyclable. When it finally needs replacement, poly furniture owners can send the pieces back to a manufacturer for reuse. Or, they can find a nearby recycling center that accepts HDPE.

Since poly wood pieces last for decades, this lessens the amount of furniture consumers buy and discard over time. The most environmentally responsible choice for outdoor furniture is by far poly lumber.

Poly is also a highly durable, weather proof material. Its high density makes poly furniture entirely water proof. This protects it from mold, rot, snow, and frost. This also makes poly an excellent choice for seating areas near a pool, lake, or beach.

UV inhibitors protect poly from sun damage. This includes discoloration, fading, and cracking. Its heavy weight helps poly wood endure strong winds and even hurricanes.

Its weight and general durability allow poly furniture to stay in the same location year round. This is perfect for vacation homes or those looking for low maintenance pieces.

Another benefit of choosing our poly lumber is the ability to customize each piece. We offer a large selection of quality colors to choose from. Each table is available in entirely one color or as a two toned piece with a base and accent color.

Our prices differ slightly between our standard and premium options. Choosing one of each is also an option and results in a price between the two. Mix and match different options to create your ideal patio dining set.

Our standard colors tend to be more muted with many natural or neutral options. These include: White, Weatherwood, Light Gray, Cedar, Cherrywood, Tudor Brown, Dark Gray, and Black. Our more eye-catching standard options are Mint Green, Patriot Blue, and Turf Green.

The premium color choices are much more vibrant and bright. These are: Pink, Bright Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Aruba Blue, and Purple. Available at the same price are our wood grain poly lumber options.

These are: Seashell, Birchwood, Driftwood Gray, Coastal Gray, Antique Mahogany, and Brazilian Walnut. The wood grain colors give the appearance of real wood while being entirely recycled plastic. These attractive color options are exclusive to our supplier, Tangent Sustainable Lumber.

Poly vs Tile Top Outdoor Table

The main benefit poly wood has over tile is its resistance to moisture. Tile and grout are vulnerable to freeze damage like cracking. Grout also requires maintenance and absorbs stains from wine, coffee, and more.

Another negative aspect of choosing tile is that it can chip or even shatter. Dropping a heavy object onto the tile can cause this easily.

Sun damage also affects tile more than poly wood. Colored tile can fade in the sunlight over time, unlike UV protected poly lumber. Sun damage can also create small cracks in tile outdoor tables.

Poly vs Glass Top Outdoor Table

The most obvious drawback of a glass top is its risk of shattering. Even tempered glass is much easier to damage than poly wood.

Also consider the maintenance required for a glass patio set. It shows stains like pollen, dried water, and fingerprints easily. This makes almost constant cleaning necessary. The mentioned stains are much less visible on poly lumber, which is also easily cleanable.

Poly vs Outdoor Wood Table Top

Wooden outdoor dining sets are much more high maintenance than poly lumber. They require resealing to keep the structure in tact. Painted pieces also need sanding and repainting every few years or so.

Moisture issues are another negative aspect of wood patio pieces. Unlike poly wood, they are susceptible to rot, decay, and sun damage.

Our High Top Outdoor Table Styles

Every style we offer is available as a standard, counter, or bar height outdoor table. Our high top, or bar height tables measure 42 inches high. Our counter height patio tables are a slightly shorter option at 36 inches tall.

Premier Outdoor Amish Poly Rectangle Bar Height Table - S-Upstate Amish Furniture

Every patio dining table is complete with a central umbrella hole and brace. See our blog titled Patio Table Umbrella Size Guide to learn which table sizes match certain umbrella sizes.

We offer a variety of different bar stools to pair with our composite outdoor tables. Browse these under the Outdoor Chairs tab on our website.

Round Outdoor High Top Table

Round tables are a great option for a casual patio dining set. They offer a more natural conversation setting where each person can equally see and hear others at the table. With rectangular options, this isn't always the case.

Our round bar height table is available at 36, 42, 48, and 54 inches. The smallest option seats two comfortably while the largest can seat up to six.

Classic High Top Outdoor Table

Our Classic style is a traditional farmhouse style bar table perfect for a patio dining set. It features simple widthwise boards with rounded edges. This style is available in a variety of sizes for many different settings.

These include: 27.5 x 27.5, 38.5 x 38.5, 44 x 44, 40 x 60, 44 x 72, 44 x 94, and 66 x 66 inches. The color is two toned as the table top contrasts with the base.

Deluxe Outdoor Furniture High Top Table

The Deluxe style is available in the same sizes as the Classic. It also features widthwise boards but differs from the Classic. The Deluxe style has clipped corners and a border that surrounds the central widthwise boards. The border and base are one color while the center of the table top is another.

Premier Outdoor High Top Table and 4 Chairs

The Premier style is available in two sizes: 44 x 44 and 44 x 72 inches. The square 44 x 44 inch size makes an excellent table and chairs set for four.

The Premier is our only style that features lengthwise boards across the table top. These meet with a widthwise board at each end for added detail. The table top is one color while the base is another.
