Since all our furniture is Amish made, we offer full customization for every piece. This is possible because orders are handmade after they come in. This level of tailoring simply is not possible for larger furniture retailers.
They typically only offer the most popular styles, sizes, and colors. Desks are premade without the option to change any details, unlike with Upstate Amish. Create your ideal office aesthetic by customizing each detail of your order.
First, decide on any edits to the actual design of the desk style or send us a custom design. Then, choose from our array of wood species and stain colors. Finally, add the finishing touch by choosing which knobs or handles best suit your office desk. Below, we give some ideas for fully custom orders and outline tailoring options.
Executive Standing Desk
While our existing desk styles are lovely, they do not always satisfy customer needs. In these cases, customers can send us exact blueprints of a design or simply explain to us what they want. We will work with you to create the perfect desk for your workspace.
An example of a custom order like this would be a standing executive desk. We could simply modify the design of an existing style or we could create something entirely new. Either option would likely include an adjustable surface that can switch from regular seating height to a standing desk.

L Shaped Executive Desk with Hutch
Another custom option that maximizes both storage and surface space would be a large executive desk with a hutch. For an idea of what this would look like, navigate to the main desk page and find a hutch wall desk and an L shaped option.
The hutch would fit above one side of the desk against a wall while the other side remains open for visibility. Our hutch tops include two large doors with a central space for open shelving as well as a gap for cable management.
However, feel free to edit the design as you see fit. This could mean modifying door size or amount, eliminating the open shelving, or the opposite.

Aside from fully custom pieces, we also offer full tailoring on all other orders. First, customers can edit the design of our existing styles. This could mean adding or removing storage details like drawers, file cabinets, or doors.
You can also choose to modify aesthetic details. Include or exclude a beveled edge, tapered legs, paneled drawer fronts, and more. A popular addition to our executive office desks is paneling along the front facing side. This detail adds a level of sophistication and luxury to elevate any manager's office.
After editing any design details, decide what wood species and stain color you prefer. We offer maple, cherry, hickory, elm, birch, and walnut as well as three varieties of oak. These include: classic red oak, rustic white oak, and Amish quarter sawn white oak.
Each wood species is a solid domestic hardwood that is durable and creates heirloom quality furniture. Every option has a variety of stain colors to choose from. Maple wood alone has fourteen possible stains ranging from deep Brown Velvet to light Blissful Sand.

Brooklyn Luxury Executive Desk
Our Brooklyn style is popular for its gorgeous combination of luxurious details. This includes a graceful waterfall edge that gives the surface a unique look. The flared legs add dramatic, elegant detail to the entire piece. They run from the surface to the floor with a central curve for a sophisticated feel.
We recommend added arched paneling to the desk front and sides to complete the look. An especially attractive two toned wood combination for this style is Ebony maple and flamed birch in Asbury Brown.
We recommend maple for the desk base and flamed birch for the drawers, front paneling, and surface. Only a small percentage of birch trees display this rare, highly figured grain pattern. It earns its name with beautiful, shimmering fire-like swirls and high color contrast.
Another attractive choice for the Brooklyn style is walnut wood. Choose a natural stain for a more relaxed look and Cocoa Light for a deeper, more formal feel.

This style features a slight beveled edge and straight, square legs for a clean, neat look. The desk front includes simple paneling for subtle, refined detail. Above the drawers are optional pullout boards for increasing surface space. This is ideal when having a meal at your desk or simply having more space to organize documents.
Hickory wood in a light Willowbend or Blissful Sand stain looks excellent on this desk. It certainly gives a more approachable feel to a manager's room than a typical black executive desk.
Exact dimensions of the Jackson executive style in inches are: 72W x 36D, and 31H. This makes it larger than most similar desks with a spacious surface and excellent drawer storage.
