Custom Options for a 7 Piece Dining Set
Unlike larger furniture retailers, we offer customers total control over each detail of their orders. Our team will work with you to create a unique dining set perfect for your home. We have excellent taste and can offer suggestions for different stylistic goals.
Pictured below are some of our newest mid century pieces. These are the Astoria table and Atlas chairs in maple wood with a honey cider stain. Customers can edit this set and all others to feature any combination of wood and stain color.Â

Select Style and Size
The first step in tailoring a dining table set with 7 pieces is to choose the style and size of the table. We offer a wide variety of tables in modern, mid century, rustic, and traditional Amish styles. Each table is available in custom sizes, not only the sizes listed online.
Typically, a 7 piece set is ideal for six people. We offer various round and rectangular table sizes for this seating capacity.
For round tables alone, there are multiple options suitable for six dining chairs. The smallest we recommend is a 48 inch with a 12 inch extension leaf for an oval shape tabletop. This option is ideal for smaller spaces, but can feel a little cramped.
For a more spacious dining arrangement, we recommend our 60 or 66 inch round tables. As for rectangular options, the smallest we recommend for six people is the 42 x 66 inch size. For more elbow space, we suggest the 42 x 72 or 42 x 76 table sizes.
Choose Wood Species and Stain Color
Next, choose the wood species and stain color that best suit your preferences. We offer a quality selection of domestic hardwoods that are entirely solid wood with no veneers or laminates. This includes maple, cherry, hickory, oak, elm, birch, and walnut.
Oak has three variations: red oak, rustic white oak, and quarter sawn white oak. The last option is essential to traditional Amish Mission style for its highly figured and unique grain. The way it is sawn reveals gorgeous ribbon like patterns, or ray flecks.
For each species, we offer a variety of wood stains to adjust the color. For maple wood alone, we offer fourteen different stain colors ranging from light to dark. We offer painted wood either with a smooth texture (maple) or a defined cathedral grain pattern (red oak).
Choose from our beautiful natural wood options to create your heirloom quality dining set. We can offer suggestions to help you find the perfect fit for your space.
Edit Details
To further customize your dining room 7 piece set, ask about editing other details. This could involve including or excluding tapered legs, a beveled edge, or more.
Attractive 7 Pc Dining Set Ideas
Since there are hundreds of combinations of style, species, and stain, it can be difficult to decide what you prefer most. Below, we offer some suggestions for different styles and dining arrangements.
Mid Century Modern Dining Table 7 Piece Set
MCM style has remained popular throughout the decades for good reason. The organic, unusual shapes and open, airy feel offer timeless style.
An attractive combination is our Monroe table with Windsor and Cordelle dining chairs. The table features neat, straight lines with the top perfectly meeting the legs. This defined shape contrasts well with the soft, gentle curves of the Windsor side chairs.
To complete the set, place a Cordelle chair with a fabric seat at the ends of the table. This style combines elements in both the Windsor and Monroe pieces for a cohesive look. Diagonal boards support the armrest and act as the back legs while the chair back curves dramatically.
Chair backs of both styles are low for a light, open feel. View this exact combination below in white oak with our Blissful Sand stain.

Another unique combination is the Astoria table and Atlas chairs. Both feature legs at an odd, outward facing angle for an unusual yet stylish look. The rounded tabletop compliments the soft, square chair backs for a classic mid century look.
7 Piece Round Dining Set Ideas
For a formal, elegant dining space, we recommend the Carlisle table with our Curlew chairs. The round table features dramatically curved legs that meet to form a pedestal base. The chairs offer a gentle look with more subtle curves in the chair back and legs.
A great combination for a rustic look is our Farmhouse Round table with Western High Back chairs. For a country kitchen table, we recommend a Coastal White oak base with a white oak table top in Cocoa Light stain.
Classic Amish Style Dining Room Set in 7 Pieces
Two classic Amish styles exist - Mission and Shaker. Essential elements of both are simplicity and functionality. These styles are highly durable and have timeless style.
For Amish dining room sets, we recommend our Heavy Mission or Shaker Hill table. The former features sturdy, square legs with a parallel slat detail and a solid connecting beam between the bases. The latter features a similar structure with different details.
The Shaker Hill table tapered, curved feet with an arched beam connecting the bases. This style is more elegant than the first with subtle, gentle detail.
Our Austin dining chairs look excellent with either classic style. These feature tapered legs, a steamed and bent chair back, and an arched top.
Counter Height Dining Set in 7 Pieces
For a counter height set, we recommend our Lakeland Shaker table with upholstered Emerson bar stools. Maple in DC Driftwood with a subtle gray fabric make an attractive combination.

Another great option is our Glacier pub table with Gannet swivel bar stools. These circular bar stools have no back, so are perfect for tight spaces.
