Customize a Swinging Bench for Your Patio

Customize a Swinging Bench for Your Patio

Find the perfect high quality swing bench for your porch at Upstate Amish. Like all our outdoor furniture, these are highly durable, weather proof, and sustainable. Enjoy the rare benefit of customizing your porch swing in store or online.

Each piece of patio furniture is handmade by expert Amish woodworkers in Ohio. They craft each outdoor patio swing with skill from their years of experience. Because of this, you can customize each piece of outdoor furniture to your liking. Mass produced furniture does not match this level of control.

For each outdoor patio swing, choose the style, size, and color. We offer four styles: Adirondack, Comfort Back, Gateway, and Sawbuck. Choose between a four and five foot swing for the first three options. The larger size features a settee with cupholders that folds out from the center.

The Sawbuck style is available in four or six feet. The smaller size is ideal for two people and the larger for three. This style features cushions with your choice of high performance fabric.

Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns about our outdoor porch swings. Contact us via our website, call, or visit our store in Seneca, SC. Evaluate our poly wood patio pieces outside our store at any time. Compare color options and styles at your leisure.

Color Options for Your Bench Swing Frame

We offer a wide selection of poly wood colors to choose from. Aside from the Sawbuck frame, each swing is available in all one color or our two toned color option. Elevate your front porch with a unique mix of colors.

Prices vary slightly between our standard and premium color options. For example, the Adirondack four foot swing is $636 in one or two standard colors. With premium colors, the same swing is $713. Or, customers can choose one standard and one premium color for $674.

Standard and Premium Poly Wood Color Options

The standard poly colors tend to be more muted or neutral tones. These include: White, Weatherwood, Light Gray, Cedar, Cherrywood, Tudor Brown, Dark Gray, and Black. Other standard options that work well as accent colors are: Mint Green, Patriot Blue, and Turf Green.

Our premium poly wood colors tend to be brighter and more vibrant that the standard options. Because of this, they require more pigment, which increases the price. Premium colors include: Pink, Cardinal Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Aruba Blue, and Purple.

Our unique wood grain colors are available at the same price as the premium colors. These include: Seashell, Birchwood, Driftwood Gray, Coastal Gray, Antique Mahogany, and Brazilian Walnut. These options are unique to our HDPE supplier, Tangent Sustainable Lumber. These colors mimic the tones and grain pattern of real wood species despite being recycled plastic.

Mix and match these options to create a swinging bench unique to your outdoor space.

Outdoor Swing Bench Cushion Options

As previously mentioned, our Sawbuck style features cushions with a selection of solid and patterned fabric to choose from. The Sunbrella cushion fabric is weather resistant, durable, and easy to clean.

To create a matching set of porch furniture, browse the rest of our Sawbuck collection. It includes a loveseat and armchair in the same style as the swing bed. Add a coffee table and end tables with a matching X design to complete the outdoor living room set.

For a swivel cushioned armchair and large outdoor sofa, see our Motif styles. These are similar to the Sawbuck style, but don't include an X detail under the armrests for a more minimal, modern look. Mix and match fabric and poly wood colors to create a cushioned set unique to your porch.

Both the Sawbuck and Motif styles are available with any of the below fabric colors and patterns. These Sunbrella fabric options are comfortable and easily cleanable. They resist mold and mildew as well, making them the perfect choice for outdoor spaces.

Solid Sunbrella Fabrics

Patterned Sunbrella Fabrics

These fabrics have UV protection and are resistant to fading. This ensures they maintain their vibrant color over time.

To clean the fabric, the Sunbrella website features a detailed guide. This guide covers common stains like wine and sunscreen as well as highly specific ones. Each stain has a home remedy recommendation for how to best clean the fabric.

Attractive Combos for an Outdoor Bench Swing Set

Between our poly wood colors and cushion fabric options, countless combos exist. Below, we will give a couple recommendations for different style goals.

Modern

For a contemporary porch swing set, a great option is our Comfort Back swing in a simple black color. The minimalist style compliments a dark, uniform color.

For a modern set with more pop, we recommend our Sawbuck cushioned swing also with a black frame. The Berenson Texedo and Maxim Heather Beige are excellent fabric options for a sleek look. The light beige neutrals contrast well with the black frame.

Beachy

For a swing bench set near the beach, we recommend our Adirondack style for its shell patterned back and timeless look. An excellent color combo for the frame is an Aruba Blue base and Seashell accent color.

Since the ground will likely be sand, the Seashell accent matches well and its texture adds detail. The deep Aruba Blue color matches the ocean and gives a tropical feel.

For a cushioned option, we recommend the Seashell frame with our Dolce Oasis fabric pattern. This includes varying shades of blue for a relaxed, breezy look. If considering a cushioned set, we also recommend our Cast Horizon or Bliss Breeze solid fabric colors.

For example, order the swing chair in the Dolce Oasis pattern with a matching loveseat opposite it. Place a coffee table in between and two armchairs in one of the solid blue colors. Make all poly wood color the Seashell wood grain for a cohesive set with contrast.

Traditional

For a more traditional porch look, we recommend our Gateway bench swing. Attractive color combos are: Weatherwood & Tudor Brown and Black & Antique Mahogany. Add a couple Gateway swivel glider chairs and a Clipped Corner coffee table for a complete set.

For the Sawbuck style, we recommend an Antique Mahogany or Brazilian Walnut frame. Add Canvas Black cushions for a classic, natural look.

Retro

For a retro look, we recommend our Sawbuck style with a Weatherwood or Birchwood frame. Add our Harwood Crimson or Brannon Redwood for a vintage 70s looks. For solid colored cushions, consider our Canvas Jockey Red and Spectrum Cilantro options.

Warm and Inviting

For a summery, cozy feel, consider a mix of natural warm tones and bright colors. A great combo for the Gateway style is a mix of Antique Mahogany and Brazilian walnut for a natural wood feel.

For the cushioned Sawbuck style, we recommend the same wood grain frame colors. Add our Cast Coral solid fabric for a deep, vibrant summer color similar to burnt orange. Choose the Canvas Buttercup option for a sunny, bright look.
