5 Piece Outdoor Dining Sets
Typically, an outdoor 5 piece dining set includes a table with four chairs. We offer various styles and sizes of patio tables and chairs to create the ideal set for your outdoor space.
For an outdoor dining set for 4, we recommend a round or square table. Our 36 inch round table can seat four, but not as comfortably as the 42 inch size. The 36 inch size works best for a bistro set rather than a four person dining table.
As for square table styles and sizes, we offer a few different varieties. The most affordable option would be our 27.5 x 27.5 inch Classic style which starts at $491. Price can increase depending on which poly wood colors you choose.
The Deluxe style in the same size is $610 with one or two standard poly wood colors. The 27.5 x 27.5 inch size is our smallest square table, and can feel cramped with four chairs. We recommend our compact bar stools for a 5 piece set of this size.
For a more comfortable feel, try our 38.5 x 38.5 square table. This size can accommodate four regular sized dining chairs or even swivel gliders.
The most spacious option for a 5 piece dining set is our Premier 44 x 44 inch table. Our Motif or Sawbuck cushioned chairs would look excellent with this table. The Sawbuck style is a stationary outdoor armchair while the Motif swivels and glides.
Outdoor Dining Set for 6 Ideas
For outdoor dining sets for 6, we usually recommend a rectangular table. Specific sizes that work well are: 40 x 60 and 44 x 72. Obviously, the larger size will give a more spacious feel to the set. The smaller size can work well for tighter spaces.
For either option, consider a mix of dining chairs and dining benches. We offer two styles of backless benches with the standard available in four, five, or six feet. The Premier style features a footrail and is available at 72 inches. Order either at dining, counter, or bar height.
For the 40 x 60 inch size, we recommend two five foot benches along the sides. These allow comfortable seating for two people each. For the 44 x 72 inch size, order two six foot dining benches. Two to three people can sit on each bench.
At the ends, choose from our selection of outdoor dining chairs. This includes our Modura, Gateway, Comfort Back, and Adirondack chairs.
Another option is a 7-piece dining set with our 54 inch round table and six chairs. This size seats up to eight, so six people is certainly a comfortable number. This is our largest round outdoor table size.
Or, customize a 7 piece outdoor dining set with a traditional rectangular table and six chairs. As mentioned, the 44 x 72 size is more comfortable for six, but the 40 x 60 inch works as well.
Large 9 Piece Outdoor Dining Set
Outdoor dining sets for 8 typically include a large table and eight chairs. As mentioned, our 54 inch round table can seat up to eight people, but not as comfortably as a larger size. For this reason, we recommend our largest square and rectangular tables.
For a square 9 piece outdoor patio dining set, consider our 44 x 44 and 66 x 66 inch sizes. The Premier, Deluxe, and Classic styles are all available in the smaller size, although it is a tight fit for eight people.
While a 44 inch square table may seem cramped with eight chairs, dining benches are a great option. Place a four foot bench at each side for optimal seating. While the benches will be slightly longer than the table sides, this is ideal for seating eight people.
The 66 x 66 inch size is only available for our Classic and Deluxe styles. This size allows for much more space, so placing two chairs at each side is more than doable. Benches also work well for this size as an 8 person outdoor dining set.
Rectangular options are also available, including: 44 x 72 or 44 x 94 inches. As mentioned, the first size is ideal for six people, so eight chairs may feel too cramped. Our largest size, 44 x 94, can actually seat 10 people, so eight chairs will fit comfortably.
