Our handcrafted Amish wood coffee tables are heirloom quality and entirely customizable. Each coffee table is handmade with solid domestic hardwood.
While a veneer coffee table and wooden coffee table may look similar, there are important differences. Solid wood is much more durable and generally lasts much longer than veneer furniture. Also, if damaged, customers can sand and refinish solid wood furniture for a brand new look.

Customize Your Amish Wooden Coffee Table
One of the major benefits of choosing Amish made furniture is the level of customization we offer. Each order is handmade by our Amish partners in Ohio with skill and detail. This allows customers to tailor coffee tables and more to match their personal interior design visions.
Larger retailers usually only carry the most popular styles of living room furniture. While they offer lower prices, there is little room for customizing. With Upstate Amish, choose the style, size, wood species, stain color, and more for each piece of furniture. Even edit details and dimensions to match your specific preferences.
Invest in our furniture that is not only personalized but heirloom quality. Our solid wood coffee tables are durable, stylish, and will last your family for generations.
Choose the Style and Size
The first step in tailoring your new coffee table is to select a style from our many options. Details of each style are adjustable. Customers can choose to include or exclude details like tapered legs, a beveled edge, and more.
Next, decide which size will work best for your living room space. While we only have a few sizes listed online for each style, custom sizes are certainly available. We can also modify dimensions to suit your existing furniture.
Please reach out with any questions about customizing the shape, style, or size. For example, ask us about an oval or round wood coffee table. While we don't have any styles currently, we can work with you to design something unique to your living room. Also let us know if you prefer a lift top coffee table instead of traditional drawers.
Select a Wood Species and Stain
We offer a quality selection of solid domestic hardwoods to choose from. These include: cherry, maple, oak, hickory, birch, elm, and walnut. Three variations of oak are available: red oak, rustic white oak, and quarter sawn white oak.
If you would like more options, check if we have any unique woods available. This could include claro walnut from the west coast or rare flamed birch wood. Ask about a burl wood coffee table as well if interested. We sometimes procure large slabs of highly figured and rare burl wood.
Also ask us about a reclaimed wood coffee table. Browse the Silverton bedroom collection or Timberland dining furniture to see how the antique barn wood looks. This option is excellent for a rustic wood coffee table with a cozy, farmhouse feel.
We also offer a custom live edge coffee table. Choose from our unique epoxy colors and create your own design for the mold. Or, choose a slab of wood with natural imperfections that epoxy filling can blend with.
Regardless of the wood type you choose, a variety of stain colors are available. For maple wood alone, there are fourteen different colors that range greatly. From light Blissful Sand to deep Brown Velvet, maple wood is incredibly versatile.
Our team is incredibly knowledgable about each wood and stain options. If customers need help choosing what will look best in their space, we can always give suggestions.
Decide on Hardware Details
Finally, decide which handles and knobs you prefer for the drawers on the coffee table. We offer various styles ranging from traditional to rustic, modern, and more. Available finishes are gold, silver, bronze, and black.
Let us know about any other edits you may want to make to your customized coffee table.
Rustic Wood Coffee Table Options
Choosing a rustic coffee table is perfect for creating a farmhouse or cabin like feel. The personal touch of handcrafted Amish furniture aligns well with a rustic look. Browse our styles in natural wood and ask about any edits you may want to make.
Arcadia
This rectangular coffee table features simple design with neat lines and edges. The legs are square for a solid, sturdy look central to rustic style furniture. The Arcadia features two drawers above open shelving for a functional, practical living room table.
We recommend rustic hickory wood for this style. Our Cocoa Light and Honey Cider stains look especially nice on this style. The former is ideal for a living room with a cool tone color scheme while the latter has a much warmer, cozy feel.
Riverton
The Riverton style features classic Shaker style and looks excellent in rustic quarter sawn white oak or hickory wood. The legs taper from the inward facing sides for subtle detail. Choose rustic hickory wood with our Willowbend stain and round wooden knobs for a simple, countryside feel.
Milltown
Like the Arcadia, the Milltown style features square, sturdy legs and simple design. The distressed plank top with rough edges gives the table a traditional rustic look. The wood looks more natural and rugged than cleaner cut alternatives. Maple in a Cocoa Light stain looks excellent on this style.
Our Favorite Styles for a Dark Wood Coffee Table
Customize the perfect dark wooden coffee table for your living space with Upstate Amish. Some excellent options for any table are: maple in Brown Velvet stain and walnut wood in Cocoa Light.
Brooklyn
This luxury coffee table features dramatically curved legs and a beautiful waterfall edge. These details give a sophisticated, elegant feel to the table. This style looks especially nice in some of our two toned stain options.
Specifically, we recommend choosing an Ebony maple base with a flamed birch table top. While this combination isn't viewable online, navigate to our office desks and select the Brooklyn style. Here, customers can see how well the rare birch variety in Asbury Brown compliments black wood.
Ashton
Another excellent option for a traditional, formal space is our Ashton dark wood coffee table. This option features intricately crafted turned legs. These contrast well with the straight, clean lines of the tabletop for a sophisticated feel.
This style looks especially luxurious with a Dark Knight maple wood base and a Granite Bay white oak top. This coffee table with storage features two large drawers above open shelf space for a practical living room table.
Century
Our mid century modern coffee table is a stylish, high quality addition to any space. This style features neat, soft lines for to achieve the gentle, organic shape essential to MCM furniture. The drawer lies below the open shelving instead of the tabletop for an open, airy feel. Tapered legs add subtle, delicate detail to this small coffee table.
We recommend walnut wood for any mid century pieces. This species historically connects to the movement as it was popular for its natural color variation and gorgeous grain. Walnut wood in our Cocoa Light stain makes an excellent dark wood coffee table.
Square Wood Coffee Table Options
A large square coffee table is perfect for a modern minimalist look or for a 4 x 4 seating arrangement. Place four of our comfortable, high quality armchairs around a square table for a unique living room set. This setup will focus more on conversation rather than TV entertainment.
Westbrook
Our Westbrook style is an attractive option for a solid wood square coffee table. It features minimalist design for a contemporary look with clean, straight lines and edges. The thin legs contrast well with the wide tabletop and storage space beneath.
This style usually has no drawers to maintain a sleek, modern look. Customers can add drawers upon request and edit other details as well. This coffee table pairs well with our wide Westbrook armchairs, available in a variety of unique fabric colors.
Austin
This style is perfect for a more traditional square wooden coffee table. It features gracefully tapered legs, rounded corners, and a partial arched cutout base. These details and the singular, central drawer give this table a simple yet elegant look.
Oxford
The Oxford coffee table offers highly unique yet simple design. The oversized legs and straight, almost harsh lines give this style a modern look. It works well as an accent table when paired with more delicate, airy seating furniture.
