Glider Patio Bench Ideas
Outdoor glider benches are an excellent addition to any outdoor space. Unlike swing chairs, a similar option, these are more versatile and moveable. They also require less space than both swings and rocking chairs.
The simple gliding mechanism offers a smooth, relaxing motion. Each bench has a deep contoured seat for added comfort.
We offer three unique styes of patio glider benches, each available at four or five feet. The five foot options feature an optional, folding settee that blends seamlessly into the chair back when not in use. It features two cupholders and a small surface that can function as an armrest or table.

Adirondack Patio Glider
Named after the Adirondack Mountains, this chair style has stood the test of time and remains popular after more than 100 years. Thomas Lee invented the style to create a chair comfortable and stable enough for any terrain.
For this reason, classic Adirondack style features a slanted back and deep contoured seats. Decades after its origin, this style even became popular among TB patients for its comfort. Originally, the back of the chair was one singular piece of wood free of knots.
This changed over time, as it was easier to mass produce chairs with multiple board backs. Our modern Adirondack chair features seven boards of poly lumber arranged in a fan or shell like pattern. The rounded top is consistent with classic Adirondack style.
Comfort Back Outdoor Glider Seat
As its name suggests, this style is certainly a comfortable option. It features horizontal curves for both lumbar and neck support. Thin boards flow seamlessly from the chair back to the seat for a more modern, simplistic look.
This option is ideal for those who struggle with back pain and need more supportive seating options.
Gateway Outdoor Swivel Chair
Our Gateway glider chair has a more traditional feel with a pronounced arch on the chair back. Thin, vertical boards lie underneath this arch making a straight, slightly slanted back. The color of the rounded arch matches the chair base for extra contrast.
Modura Patio Glider
Our Modura glider offers a more contemporary look with its minimalist yet unusual design. This style features straight, evenly sized vertical boards along the chair back. These boards curve dramatically around the sitter in an almost semi circle.
Because this pronounced curve is integral to the style, this option is not available as a two person glider. However, this attractive design is one of our most popular outdoor chair styles.
Motif Cushioned Patio Glider
Our Motif swivel glider is another popular option because of its cozy cushions and modern design. It features straight, thin lines in the armrests and support boards.
