Rectangular Standard Dining Table Sizes
Rectangular dining tables are more traditional for a living room, but we offer a variety of timeless styles. If you are looking for a dining table size for 6 people, even our smallest extendable size can meet that guest count.
The smallest rectangular dining table we offer measures 36 x 48. This seats four people comfortably and 6 with an optional extendable leaf. Our Lakeland Shaker Small Extending Dining Table is a great option for this size. Its classic Shaker style features simple, clean lines and tapered legs.
Our 42 x 66 size seats six people with a solid top. It can seat up to eight people with two optional 12 inch extension leaves. Our Monroe Mid-Century Dining Table is available in this size. It features a simple but stylish modern design with crisp right angles and tapered square legs.

Our 42 x 72 inch table top seats six people. With two 12 inch extension leaves, it seat 6-10 and with four leaves, it seats up to 12 people. If hosting 12 people, your table and chairs may feel a bit cramped at 72 inches with extension leaves. Try our larger sizes below for a more spacious feel.
Our second largest rectangular dining table size is 42 x 84, which seats eight people without any extension leaves. With two 12 inch leaves, it can seat 10 and with four, it can seat 12. Our Shaker Mid Century Dining Table comes in this size and its simple yet classic design never fail to impress.
The largest size we offer is 42 x 96 inches. With a solid top, this seats eight people comfortably. Added 18 inch leaves help this table seat 12 people comfortably. Our Alexandria Extending Dining Table with Built-Down Top is available in this size.

It features a 3 inch built-down top and breadboard ends. Unlike other extendable tables, the leaves are at each end of the table instead of in the center.
