Red Oak Dining Tables

(27 products)

At Upstate Amish Furniture Gallery, we offer a variety of red oak dining tables in differing shapes and sizes. Our styles range from traditional Amish to modern, simplistic designs. We also offer formal, elegant tables and others with a more rustic farmhouse look.

Each Amish oak table is handmade by our partners in Ohio. They are expert Amish woodworkers who craft each piece with skill and dedication. Each table is entirely customizable in wood species, stain, style, and size.

Our combination of detailed craftsmanship and 100% solid wood results in heirloom quality furniture. Elevate your dining space with our unique, high quality Amish dining tables.

About Red Oak Tables

Red oak is a popular choice among customers for its durability and rustic aesthetic. This species of oak has a Janka hardness rating of 1290. This makes it one of the more damage resistant options we offer. Red oak is difficult to dent and scratch, making it the ideal wood for a tabletop.

Like cherry wood, the color of red oak deepens as it ages because of exposure to sunlight. It starts as a warm pink/red brown and then darkens to a more vibrant reddish brown.

Red oak features a diverse wood grain pattern. It can be thin and fine at some parts and open and bold at others. This gives red oak furniture dramatic contrast. It often features arches, swirls, cathedral patterns, and more as well.

Our red oak furniture is 100% solid wood, with no veneers or laminates. Using quality material ensures that your Amish furniture will last for generations. Although the price is high, so are the levels of customization and detail in every piece.

Our Favorite Red Oak Dining Tables

Most of our red oak styles are available as extending tables. An oak table with a leaf is an excellent choice because your table can adjust to your seating capacity needs. Simply ensure you have enough dining chairs to accommodate the extended size as well as a place to store them when not in use.

Some of our more traditional styles are the Ellington, Shaker Hill, and Traditional Double Pedestal solid oak dining tables. The latter style is highly unique with two thick pedestal bases. It also features a rounded, oval shaped tabletop and curved legs that branch off from each base.

A more modern design is our Lakeland Shaker Light Oak Dining Table. The style combines classic elements of the Amish Shaker style like its subtle, tapered legs with minimalist design. The tabletop features a small beveled edge and slightly rounded edges while the legs have clean, neat lines.

Our Biltmore and Carlisle styles are popular for more formal dining rooms. The Biltmore Red Oak Extending Dining Room Table features a rare boat shape tabletop with a large beveled edge. The legs gracefully curve to form a double pedestal base connected by a central arch.

The Carlisle Red Oak Dining Room Table features a single pedestal base as well as a beveled edge. The four legs dramatically curve toward the center and then out again to form a unified base with a small platform. This style looks especially sophisticated in the Michael's Cherry stain on red oak.

Our Auburn and Rowan styles give a more rustic feel, especially with the Asbury Brown stain on red oak. Both styles feature a double pedestal base with a connecting beam or metal bar. Both are also available with a solid top or with extension leaves.

Not all available styles are visible in this online collection. For example, you see our Settler's Trestle Table or the Modern Farm Leg Table on another page. Please note that these styles and all others are available in red oak, although they may not be currently visible on the website.

Dining Chairs for Your Red Oak Table

We offer a wide range of different styles of dining room chairs. From traditional to modern and formal to rustic, our chairs are versatile and high quality. Below, we will highlight some of our favorite oak chairs to match our dining tables.

Our High Bent Paddle Dining Chair is an excellent option for a more traditional dining space. Its classic Amish design features an arched back with detailed paddles and turned legs. Another traditional yet less ornate option is the Western High Back style. This design features a ladder back, thick legs with no taper, and a scoop seat.

Our Mid Century Modern chairs are an excellent compliment to our Monroe table as well as many others. The MCM styles we offer are Cordelle, Windsor, and Laker. Each is highly unique and features the organic shapes and clean lines of the Mid Century style.

A more formal option is the Curlew chair. This style features elegant, smooth curves throughout the seat back and legs. The Kinglet is a similar style with more defined lines.

A great choice for a rustic dining space is the Eagle Dining Chair. This style features a metal detail along the chair back for a unique touch. This pairs well with matching styles like the Auburn or Alexandria oak dining tables and dining benches.
