About Glider Benches for an Outdoor Space
At Upstate Amish, we offer patio glider benches, porch swing chairs, stationary benches, and rocking chairs. Each is ideal for different preferences and different types of outdoor spaces.
Our glider loveseats for the outdoors are perfect for uneven surfaces like grass and gravel. Unlike rocking benches, gliders are unaffected by uneven terrain. Their smooth gliding motion is relaxing and quiet, perfect for a peaceful afternoon.
A porch glider is also more convenient for small spaces than a swing or rocker. This is because it requires less space to complete the back and forth motion. Since the glider motion is gentler and more controlled than a swing, gliders are also ideal for elderly guests and young children.
Outdoor Bench Gliders in South Carolina
Each of our glider loveseats for patios is available in four or five feet and at balcony height. All options except the four foot glider include an optional settee with two cupholders. This folds out seamlessly from the center of the bench. The four foot size has two optional, retractable cupholders on each arm.
Our four foot size can seat two adults comfortably and the larger option seats up to three.
Our styles include the classic Adirondack, the traditional Gateway, and the Comfort Back. The Adirondack style is popular in outdoor furniture like chairs and benches. It features an arched chair top and vertical boards that fan out from the center.
The Gateway style features a thick board at the chair top. Thin, parallel vertical boards make up the seat back with thicker, horizontal boards for the seat bottom. This provides contrast in the piece.
Our Comfort Back style features thin, horizontal boards on the seat back and bottom for a more modern look. The contoured seat back curves for both lumbar and neck support, making this style our most comfortable option.
If you're interested in an outdoor glider bench with cushions, there are many options online that perfectly fit our styles. Adding a soft cushion to our glider chairs and benches is an excellent choice.
Other Pieces to Pair with our Glider Patio Benches
To create your ideal patio space, we have a variety of outdoor pieces that compliment our glider benches well. This includes our coffee tables, end tables, footrests, and other outdoor seating. Customize your bench glider outdoor set with our selection of matching furniture.
We offer three outdoor coffee tables perfect for a patio setup. These include our Clipped Corner, Deluxe, and Sawbuck styles. Each table features a wide, low shelf for extra outdoor storage space. Since the lowered shelf is highly visible, displaying plants or decorative items is certainly possible as well.
Placing a coffee table between two outdoor glider benches opposite each other is a great idea. This makes an excellent conversation spot for enjoying snacks and drinks in your outdoor space.
For a singular glider bench, we recommend adding two end tables on either side. Our durable end tables are available in the same styles as our coffee tables. You can certainly create a matching patio furniture set with our tables and gliders.
We also offer stylish footrests to pair with your outdoor glider benches. Of our four styles, three are stationary and one glides. For a bench, we recommend two footrests, as they are sized for our chair options.
If you need more outdoor seating for your patio space, we recommend our swivel glider chairs. These are available in the same styles as our outdoor glider benches, so you can create a matching set with ease. Stationary styles are available as well to pair with your loveseat glider patio set.
Heavy Duty Poly Lumber for Outdoor Glider Benches
We use polywood lumber to craft every piece of patio furniture, including our outdoor glider benches. This material is incredibly sustainable and entirely weather proof. We also offer a wide selection of color options for a higher level of customization than competitors.
We source our polywood from Tangent Sustainable Lumber. This company repurposes plastic like milk jugs and detergent bottles to make a highly dense material. Then, our Amish woodworkers craft this material into stylish outdoor pieces.
Polywood is sustainable throughout its entire product lifetime. The production reduces plastic waste heading to landfills. It also avoids the use of natural resources like wood and metal.
Since the final product is so durable, polywood is also long lasting. Because of this, consumers replace outdoor furniture less often. This means they buy and throw away less over time than if they chose another material. This act of course also reduces landfill waste and the use of resources.
Polywood pieces typically last for decades. When it is finally time to replace them, consumers can recycle their polywood furniture. Simply ensure your recycling facility accepts HDPE. Or, send the piece to a polywood company that can reuse the material.
Polywood is infinitely recyclable because of its closed loop production process. This makes it the most eco-friendly material on the market for outdoor furniture. If you value being environmentally conscious, this is the perfect material for you.
Aside from its sustainability, polywood is highly durable. Because it it so dense, poly is entirely water, snow, and frost proof. This makes polywood furniture perfect for placement next to pools, lakes, and beaches. Harsh climates have little effect on this material as well.
Its density also ensures it resists rust, rot, and warping. Unlike wooden alternatives, polywood does not decay over time. Its strength is long lasting even in severe weather conditions like hurricanes and blizzards.
Since polywood is rather heavy, it can withstand strong winds and even hurricanes. This is convenient because there is no need to store your outdoor furniture with polywood.
In addition to being weather proof, polywood is also safe from sun damage. It contains UV inhibitors that protect it from the sun's harmful rays. Polywood does not experience fading, cracking, or discoloration.
Invest in our Amish made poly lumber bench gliders for the outdoors. The combination of sustainability, durability, and longevity is unmatched.
Color Options for Your Patio Glider Bench
We offer a quality selection of different colors for our polywood porch gliders. Since polywood color is a stain rather than a paint, you will never need to sand and repaint your outdoor furniture.
You can choose one color for the entire piece or our two-toned option. For example, you could choose an all black outdoor glider bench or a black bench with green accents. Our color options differ between two categories: standard and premium.
Choosing two of our standard colors is the least expensive option. Choosing two premium is the most expensive, and choosing one of each is somewhere in the middle.
Our standard color options feature a mix of natural and accent colors. The more natural or neutral options are: White, Weatherwood, Light Gray, Cedar, Cherrywood, Tudor Brown, Dark Gray, and Black. Standard accent colors include: Mint Green, Patriot Blue, and Turf Green.
The premium options tend to be brighter and more eye catching. These include: Pink, Bright Red, Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Aruba Blue, and Purple. Our wood grain colors are also the same price as the premium options. The possible wood grain colors are: Seashell, Birchwood, Driftwood Gray, Coastal Gray, Antique Mahogany, and Brazilian Walnut.
Mix and match our polywood colors to create your own unique patio furniture set. Usually, we recommend choosing one neutral color and one accent color that matches other design elements. For example, accents that match the color of your porch walls or decorations like vases are a stylish way to create a cohesive space.
